Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1 lbGruyere cheese (or ementhaler or a combination of both)
  2. 1 3/4 cupDry white wine
  3. 1/2 cloveGarlic
  4. 1/4 cupGin (or kirsch if you have it available)
  5. 3 tspCorn starch
  6. Ground nutmeg
  7. Ground black pepper
  8. Bread, for dipping

Cooking Instructions

    Grate all the cheese

  2. 2

    In a stove pot or directly on your fondue pot, heat the wine and slowly add the grated cheese, stirring constantly until it melts

  3. 3

    Mix the gin and corn starch together until dissolved, add to the pot. Optional: add the garlic clove

  4. 4

    Bring to boil and season with the nutmeg and the pepper.

    If not thick enough, add more corn starch/gin, otherwise add more wine.

  6. 6

    Serve with bread, or other dippers like grapes, apples, cherry tomatoes...
