Ingredients

  1. 1 cupCrisco
  2. 2 cupSugar
  3. 4Egg yolks unbeaten
  4. 2 1/2 cupSifted self-rising flour
  5. 1 cupMilk
  6. 1 tspVanilla
  7. 4Egg whites beaten and set aside

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350°.

  2. 2

    Grease and flour cake pans. (3-4)

  3. 3

    Cream crisco and sugar.

  4. 4

    Add vanilla and mix well.

  5. 5

    Add egg yolks and mix well.

  6. 6

    Add part of flour and mix well, then part of milk, mix well. Continue until all flour and milk have beem added.

  7. 7

    Fold beaten egg whites into batter.

  8. 8

    Pour into cake pans.

  9. 9

    Bake for 23-30 mimutes.
