1/2 cupButter
1/4 cupMilk
1/2 cupCocoa
3 cupOatmeal
1 tspVanilla
1/2 cupPeanut butter

Bring first four ingredients to a rapid boil over med.-med. high heat. Boil 1 min.

Remove from heat and quickly add final 3 ingredients. Stir to coat well.

Spoon onto foil or waxed paper.

Let cool completely before storing in airtight container.

NOTE: may only need to use 2 cups oatmeal, so add 1 cup at a time.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! My Mother used to make these with my sister when we were very young. Such good memories! I could never find the recipe & my 83 yr old Mom couldn't remember. Now I can carry on the tradition with my grandchildren!!
