Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupwhite sugar
  • 6 tbspbrown sugar
  • 1/2 cupbutter
  • 1egg
  • 1 cup+ 2 tbsp oatmeal
  • 1 cupflour
  • 1/2 tspbaking powder
  • 1/2 tspbaking soda
  • 1 tspvanilla
  • Pinchsalt
  • 1/2 cupraisins or chocolate chips (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Cream butter, add white and brown sugar, and egg. Beat well.

  2. 2

    Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

  3. 3

    Shape dough into balls.

  4. 4

    Arrange on a greased cookie sheet.

  5. 5

    Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until edges are golden brown. Rotate at half the time and check at 10 minutes. Cookies should be tender.
