Ingredients

20 minutes
8 servings
  1. 6red chilli peppers (fat ones)
  2. 4 clovesgarlic
  3. 1/4th cup white vinegar
  4. 1 cuphoney
  5. 1 cupwater
  6. 1 teaspoonsalt
  7. 2 teaspooncornflour powder + 6 tablespoon of water to make a slurry

Cooking Instructions

    Chop the chillies and garlic cloves and add them to the food processor.

    Add all the other ingredients except the honey and cornflour powder to the food processor and blend until the chillies are finely minced and a paste is obtained.

    Pour this mixture into a medium sized saucepan and let it come to the boil on a medium flame.

    Keep stirring occasionally.
    Allow the mixture to boil gently for about 3-4 minutes.

    Add the corn flour and water slurry to the simmering chilli mixture.

    The mixture will start thickening.

    Add honey and keep stirring to avoid any lumps and burning of the sauce.

  8. 8

    Switch off the flame after 5 minutes and let it cool down.

    Once cooled pour it into glass container.

  10. 10

    Serve with any snacks or main course or keep in the fridge and use as and when required.
