Tami's Herb Buttered Prime rib Roast

Ingredients

  1. 1rib roast 4 or more bones
  2. Herb Butter:
  3. 1 lb.Unsalted butter
  4. 3or more tablespoons Herb de Province
  5. 3or more tablespoons fresh thyme
  6. 3or more fresh rosemary, minced
  7. 6garlic cloves, minced
  8. to tasteSalt and pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Allow roast to come to room temperature before cooking

    Make herb butter the day before. Add butter, herbs and garlic into a bowl add salt and pepper

  3. 3

    Preheat oven to 450°

  4. 4

    Season roast with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Rub herb butter all over roast

  6. 6

    Place in oven for 15 minutes and then lower temperature to 325°. For medium I cooked until temperature reached 130°. I cooked the roast for 3 hours.

    Let rest for 30 minutes, prior to slicing. ENJOY!!
