Banana Cheesecake with Caramel Sauce
Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F
- 2
In medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar and melted margarine. Press into bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- 3
In another bowl, mix together the cream cheese and 3/4 cup of sugar until smooth. Blend in the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla and mashed banana. Pour into the prepared crust.
- 4
Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven or until the center is set. Cool and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
- 5
Combine evaporated milk and carmels in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook stirring frequently until carmels are melted and the mixture is smooth.
- 6
Garnish the cheesecake with banana slices, and drizzle carmel sauce over cheesecake.
- 7
Alternative method: Purchase carmel in a jar and pour over cheesecake. Top carmel with whipped cream, then add sliced bananas.
