melt butter in large, heavy saucepan

blend in flour

cook over low heat until bubbly, stirring constantly

gradually add broth and milk, cook until thickened, stirring constantly

stir in chicken, peas, carrots, seasonings, and egg....heat through

spoon chicken mixture into casserole and top with pie crust

turn pastry edges under and press firmly to rim of casserole dish....cut slits in top

bake 400 for 30 minutes or til golden brown
