L's Meatballs in Tomato Sauce

Start with the tomato sauce.

In a big pot warm the olive oil.

Add the onion and 3 sliced garlic cloves.

Salt per taste.

Add the tomatos and stir gently.

Once juice has come out of the tomatoes, add the canned diced tomatoes.

Add the tomato paste.

Stir together

Add the sugar, sweet paprika and cumin.

Add the water and stir together.

Add salt as needed with a dash of black pepper.

Bring to a boil and then turn down the burner to a minimum for 20 minutes with the lid on.

In the meantime prepare the meatballs.

In a big bowl, mix together the meatball ingredients. You can use a spoon or your clean hands.

Make small balls the size of a golf ball.

Wet your hands now and then so that the meat doesn't stick to them.

Once the sauce has been on the low burner for 20 min. you can add the meatballs.

Make sure to cover them with the sauce and put the lid back on.

Keep it on a low burner for another 1hour and 20 minutes.
