beat the eggs with sugar until fluffy and pale, about 10 minutes. Don't skip this step!

add the flour sifted with baking powder, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Now mix delicately, no more beating

peal and quarter the pears

pour the dough in a form and arrange the pears nicely on top, pressing them in the dough

reduce the heat to 180° and bake for 30 minutes

brush with maple syrup while still warm for a nice shiny cake
