Ingredients

2 lbfresh ground beef
1 quarttomato juice
15 ozcan red kidney beans, drained
15 ozcan pinto beans, drained
1 largeonion, chopped (bout 1 1-2 cups)
1/2 cupdiced celery
1/4 cupdiced green bell peppe
1/4 cupchili powder
1 tspground cumin (use more for real flavor)
1 1/2 tspgarlic powder
1 tspsalt
1/2 tspground black pepper
1/2 tspdried oregano
1/2 tspsugar
1/8 tspcayenne pepper
29 ozcan tomato puree

In a large, skillet, brown the ground beef.

Drain off the fat.

Put the beef and the remaining ingredients ina 6-qt pot.

Cover the pot and let the chili simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes.
