Ingredients

  1. 2 cupAll Purpose Flour
  2. 5 tbspButter or Vegetable Shortening
  3. 1/2 cupFresh Fenugrek leaves
  4. 1 tspCarom Seeds
  5. 1/4 tspSalt to Taste
  6. 3/4 cupWater (Room Temperature)
  7. 2 tspPepper corns coarsly ground

Steps

  1. 1

    Seive the flour to aerate.

  2. 2

    Add all the other ingredients to the flour and slowly incorporate them.

  3. 3

    once all the ingredients are incorporated, bring them to the working station and knead them to form soft dough.

  4. 4

    Add 1/2 tsp spoon baking soda for softness if you like before you knead the flour.

  5. 5

    Once the dough is ready, cover and let it rest for 45 minutes.

  6. 6

    divide the dough and prepare small flat discs using hand and thumb. then prick fork for even cooking.

  7. 7

    Deef fry them by turning frequently to avoid burning

  8. 8

    Once golden browned, take it out and let it sit and absorb all excess oil on a blotting papwr

  9. 9

    Ready to serve!!
