Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupBrown sugar
  2. 1/2 cupGranulated sugar
  3. 2 tbspOlive oil
  4. 1/4 cupWater
  5. 1 cupSliced strawberries
  6. 1/4 cupMerlot
  7. 1 tbspNutella

Steps

  1. 1

    Begin water boiling in a sauce pan. Add brown and granulated sugar by spooning in and letting it melt. Once it is dissolved add oil and merlot. Bring sauce to a boil and them add half of the sliced strawberries.

  2. 2

    If the sauce is thickening add more water. Don't let it thicken yet. Boil for 10 minutes. Let it cool.

  3. 3

    Put sauce in blender with Nutella and the rest of the strawberries. Blend on a low level. Once blended, return sauce to pan and boil until sauce thickens. Once thick, put sauce in freezer for an hour.

    Serve over cheese cake or other desert.
