Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 2 lbPheasant or chicken pieces
  2. 1 canCream of mushroom soup
  3. 1/2 cupApple cider or apple juice
  4. 2 tbspWorcestershire sauce
  5. 3/4 tspSalt
  6. 1/3 cupChopped onion
  7. 1 tspMinced garlic
  8. 4 ozSliced mushroom
  9. 5 dashPaprika

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oven to 350. Place pheasant pieces in an ungreased 9x9 baking dish.

  2. 2

    Mix remaining ingredients except paprika and pour over chicken. Sprinkle generously with paprika.

  3. 3

    Basting chicken occasionally with sauce, bake, uncovered, 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until fork tender.

  4. 4

    After baking for 1 hour, generously sprinkle with paprika again.

  5. 5

    Serve with mashed potatoes. Can double recipe to make a 9x13 pan.

    I usually thicken the gravy with cornstarch and water.
