Be sure to not overwork the meat, to avoid tough patties

Form into 3 (1/3 lb) patties, pressing together firmly but don't pack too densely. Optional: if making thicker patties, add a pat of butter to the middle of each one to keep moist and flavorful

Grill or pan fry until desired doneness is achieved. Times will vary according to how thick you form your patties
