Ingredients

3 servings
  • 1 lbground beef chuck, or meat of choice (80/20 is considered ideal for juicy hamburgers)
  • 1 tbspWorcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsplow sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1/2 tspblack pepper
  • 1 tbspbrown sugar
  • 1 tsponion powder
  • 1/2 tspgarlic powder
  • 1 tsppaprika
  • 1 1/2 tspparsley
  • 1/4 tspliquid smoke
  • 1 tspsriracha, or dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1/2 tspsmoked paprika (optional)
  • 1 dashcayenne pepper (optional)

  1. 1

    Add all ingredients to a bowl, mix with hands

  2. 2

    Be sure to not overwork the meat, to avoid tough patties

  3. 3

    Form into 3 (1/3 lb) patties, pressing together firmly but don't pack too densely. Optional: if making thicker patties, add a pat of butter to the middle of each one to keep moist and flavorful

  4. 4

    Grill or pan fry until desired doneness is achieved. Times will vary according to how thick you form your patties
