Ingredients

  • 1 lbfried tofu
  • 1 stickgreen onion for garnish
  • tomato sauce
  • 5 mediumtomatoes, quartered
  • 1 tbsptomato paste
  • 1/2 tspfish sauce
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 2 tspsugar
  • 1/2 cupwater
  • filling
  • 1/2 lbpork
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1 tspsugar
  • 3/25 tspMSG
  • 1/4 cupchopped onion

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut, dry, and fry the tofu (or use pre-fried tofu)

  2. 2

    Combine ingredients for the filling and mix well. Slit the tofu and stuff tofu with the filling.

  3. 3

    Cut the tomatoes, then add the stuffed tofu, and all tomato sauce ingredients into one pot

  4. 4

    Bring to a boil, then drop the heat to a simmer on low/30% heat for 10 minutes or until tomatoes are softened and the meat filling is completely cooked.

  5. 5

    Mix it midway to ensure more even cooking, add chopped green onions during the last few minutes to cook and soften it a bit.
