Ingredients

  • 1 cupbutter or margarine softened
  • 1 cupsugar
  • 1 largeegg
  • 1 tspvanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cupall-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tspbaking powder
  • 1/4 tspspoon

Steps

  1. 1

    Cream together butter and sugar.

  2. 2

    Blend in egg

  3. 3

    Combine dry ingredients

  4. 4

    Mix well

  5. 5

    Press into shapes on ungreased cookie sheet.

  6. 6

    Bake at 400 for 5 to 7 minutes.
