Ingredients

  • 250 gpaneer
  • 2medium sized onions for blanching
  • 2medium sized onions chopped
  • 2medium tomatoes
  • 1/2 tspGinger garlic paste
  • 1/4 teaspoonturmeric powder,
  • 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  • 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspooncumin,
  • as neededLow fat cream
  • 2 tablespoonoil
  • as neededButter
  • as neededWhole spices (cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, bay leaf)

Steps

  1. 1

    Peel the onions. Rinse the tomatoes. Blanch them in boiling water for 5 mins and then switch off the flame. Cover the pan and let them blanch for 20-25 mins.

  2. 2

    Heat butter and add onions. Sauté till they go golden brown. Keep them aside.

  3. 3

    Peel the tomatoes and chop them finely. Chop the other 2 onions as well.

  4. 4

    Heat oil in the same pan and add these chopped tomatoes and onions. Add ginger garlic paste and Sauté till oil starts leaving the sides.

  5. 5

    Add all spice powders. Add the sautéed onions and stir for 2-3 mins. Mix well and add paneer cubes.

  6. 6

    Add low fat cream. Garnish with kasuri methi or coriander.
