Moist Poultry Dressing

This is not your average dry stuffing!!! This is one for the slowcooker. Read instructions a day or two ahead, please. You have to let your bread dry out, overnight. Faster results, toast in toaster.

Thanksgiving Dressing (Chicken and Dressing) 😋 Thanksgiving Dressing (Chicken and Dressing) 😋
This is basically my mother in laws recipe. She gave me the ingredients but I had to figure out the measurements. I spent a few years tweaking it and making it my own. It has lots of flavor and texture and it is TOTALLY FROM SCRATCH !! Make the cornbread and biscuits the day before. Also, MAYONNAISE is a much tastier binder than raw eggs Bet you won't find a recipe quite like this 😋 #cornbreaddressing #Thanksgivingdressing #chickenanddressing ⚡Welderwoman⚡ -

Creamy Honey Mustard Dressing Creamy Honey Mustard Dressing
I am big on salads and maybe even bigger on homemade dressings. And it's every bit as much about flavor as health. Well, maybe slightly more...There's something about a homemade dressing made with a few thoughtfully combined ingredients, and without the texture and flavor muck that results from a certain industrial cocktail of gums and stabilizers, that allows the ingredients of your salad to sing. And it really will get you looking forward to eating raw veg, which is so good for your bod.(I do sometimes use a teeny, tiny bit of xanthan gum to emulsify, but not enough to affect the experience of the dressing. A topic for another post, however...)This Creamy Honey Mustard Dressing is a favorite in our house, and even my mustard hating Firstborn likes it. :) x -
Old Fashion Chicken and Cornbread Dressing Old Fashion Chicken and Cornbread Dressing
We cleaned the freezers and I found ingredients for a few dishes. Leftovers!“Your dressin’ is only as good as your broth” Anna WilliamsI can’t tell you how much research I’ve done, over 4 decades, from every person I knew, in a sweet little place called western Kentucky, to finally get this the way I feel like it’s supposed to be. Having a Cajun mother♥️, I was raised on my beloved rice dressing not cornbread dressing. But growing up in Kentucky, you bet I became a huge fan of cornbread dressing. Not everyone can make a good one no matter what they do. I’ve been that person a few times lol. It should be Fluffy not concrete. Aromatic and seasoned just right. Crispy in all the right places. But mainly, it’s a texture thing. I think, after all these years, I have nailed it. This is more of an equation, but so easy!I’ve heard everything from using a dozen eggs and boiling broth to 1/2 cup of sage (gag) and cracker crumbs. I’ve heard cream of chicken soup and stove top stuffing. Just NO. The seasoning is very simple because ‘dressin’, as we southerners call it, has a flavor all its own. It smells like Thanksgiving and home. This one is the one for me. I waited a long time before I was confident enough to put this particular recipe out there. No jackin around on this one. I can keep it and share it now, thanks to Cookpad 🧡 SherryRandall: The Leftover Chronicles -

Slow Cooker Sausage Stuffing/Dressing Slow Cooker Sausage Stuffing/Dressing
I love stuffing. It is my favorite part of any holiday meal. When I was younger, my mom would make extra stuffing, because she knew how much I loved it.People have come close to hers, but none can top her stuffing. Not saying that no one else makes good stuffing, but to me hers was the best. I wish that she still made it, but after cooking for 6 children and 11 grandchildren, she is done cooking My mother-in-law is a close second. Both of stuffings are basic. Bread, sausage, with herbs & spices. This stuffing is very close, but I added Italian sausage and cranberries. Why? The better question is why have I not done it sooner? I hope you like it as much as my family and friends do.As for the Stuffing vs. Dressing debate, here is my stance. Does it really matter? If you really like it, then it should not matter. If you want to call this Holiday Breading Concoction, then have at it. It is good, no matter what you call it.Cook and let eat.Enjoy! J.A.B.
