Ingredients

30 minutes
4 servings
  1. 10-15medium size prawn
  2. 1 teaspoonwhite mustard seeds.1 teaspoon black mustard seeds
  3. 1 teaspoonpoppy seeds paste
  4. 1 table spooncoconut paste
  5. 9-10 green chillies
  6. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  7. To tasteSalt
  8. 5-6 tspmustard oil
  9. as neededCoriander leaves

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Clean & wash the prawns.

  2. 2

    Marinate the prawns with salt and turmeric powder.

  3. 3

    Keep it aside.

  4. 4

    In the mean while grind the two types of mustard seeds with a pinch of salt and one green chilli.

  5. 5

    In a steel tiffin box add mustard seeds paste coconut paste. Poppy seeds paste green chillies.turmeric powder salt and mustard oil.Mix it well.

  6. 6

    Add the marinated prawns into it.Add coriander leaves.keep it aside for another 30 minutes.

  7. 7

    Close the lid of the tiffin box..In a deep kadhai add water.keep the tiffin box inside the water.let the water boil in low flame for 20 minutes..

  8. 8

    Switch off the flame.open the tiffin box after 10 minutes.

  9. 9

    Serve hot with steamed rice only
