Soak bajra overnight or for around 8 hours in plain water.

Take a pan and add bajra, chana dal, turmeric and salt to it. Add water and cook it.

You can even combine the bajra, dal, salt, turmeric and 2 cups of water in a pressure cooker, mix well and pressure cook for 4 whistles.

Heat the ghee in a deep non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds. When the seeds crackle, add the hing and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.

Add the cooked bajra- dal mixture, mix well and cook while stirring occasionally.

Serve immediately.
