Ingredients

20 servings
  1. 1/3 cupbutter
  2. 1 cupsugar
  3. 1 cupflour
  4. 2eggs
  5. 2 tbspflour
  6. 2 tspfinally shredded lemon peel
  7. 3 tbsplemon juice
  8. 1/4 tspbaking powder
  9. 1powdered sugar

Steps

    Preheat oven to 350°F

  2. 2

    Beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 second. Add 1/4 cup of the sugar and best till combined.

    Best in the 1 cup flour till crumbly. Press into the bottom of an ungreased 8×8×2-inch baking pan. Bake for 15-18 minutes or just till golden.

  4. 4

    Meanwhile, combine eggs, the remaining sugar, the 2Tbsp flour, lemon peel, juice, and baking powder. Beat for 2 minutes or till thoroughly combined. Our over hot baked layer

    Bake for 20 minutes or till lightly browned around the edges and center is set.

  6. 6

    Cool on a wire rack. If desired, sift powdered sugar over the top. Cut into bars.
