Ingredients

  • spices and base ingredients
  • 1 headgarlic, minced
  • 1olive oil
  • 2onions, diced
  • 1 bunchparsley, chopped
  • 1salt
  • 1ground black pepper
  • 1paprika
  • 1/2 literchicken stock, just in case
  • ingredients from the deli
  • 1/2 kgcured sausages of your choice, sliced
  • 1/4 kgbacon, cubed
  • legumes
  • 1 kgcanned beans (black/white)
  • 1/3liquid from canned beans

Steps

1 hour
  1. 1

    sauté garlic and bacon in olive oil, followed by the onions and bay leaves

  2. 2

    slowly add the sausages by order of hardness, with the hardest going first; season with salt, pepper, and paprika

  3. 3

    add beans and the reserved bean liquid, and bring to a boil

  4. 4

    adjust level of liquid with chicken broth, let simmer for 30-45 minutes

  5. 5

    serve with rice, best enjoyed with ice cold beer
