Ingredients

15 minutes
6 roses
  1. 1 cupall purpose flour
  2. 1/2 cupwarm milk
  3. 1 tbspsugar
  4. 1/4 tspinstant yeast
  5. 1/4 tspsalt
  6. 4-5 dropsfood colour

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Whisk together flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Add milk and knead into a soft, non sticky dough about 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    The dough should become soft, smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover with a kitchen towl.

  5. 5

    Proof in a warm place until volume is doubled, about 1 hour.

  6. 6

    Now punch the dough and add food colur, mix and knead again for 3-4 minutes.

  7. 7

    Now divide the dough into 18 equal portions

  8. 8

    To shape into rose, take 6 dough portions and roll each into a flat and thin circle.

  9. 9

    Place 6 circle shapes so that they overlap, then roll into a log and cut into two to form two roses.

  10. 10

    Make all the roses in the same way and arrange in a greased baking tin.

  11. 11

    Prepare a steamer and steam the roses for 15 minutes on high flame.

  12. 12

    Remove the lid, take the buns out from the steamer and serve hot

Hi, sorry to bother you, I really want to make this recipe for my mom and aunt for Mother’s Day, but my aunt has a milk allergy. Is there anything that can be used as a substitute for the milk? Thank you for taking the time to read this question 🌷
