  1. 2 1/2 cupBisquick mix
  2. 1beaten egg
  3. 1/2 cupmelted butter, divided
  4. 2/3 cupbuttermilk
  5. 1/4 tspsalt

    Preheat oven to 400°F

  2. 2

    Mix together Bisquick mix, 1/4 c melted butter, salt, egg and buttermilk.

  3. 3

    Turn dough out onto floured surface and knead for 30 seconds

  4. 4

    Roll dough out to 1/2 inch and cut with 3" biscuit cutter or small cup

  5. 5

    Place biscuits on greased baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown on top. Baking too long will cause biscuits to be dry and crumbly.

  6. 6

    Brush remaining butter on top of hot biscuits.
