Ingredients

  1. 1 candiced tomatos
  2. 1 cupfinely diced celery
  3. 1 cupfinely diced carrots
  4. 1 cupfinely diced onions
  5. 1 tsporegano
  6. 1 tspbasil
  7. 4 cupchicken broth
  8. 1/2bay leaf
  9. 1/2 cupflour
  10. 1 cupparmesan
  11. 1/2 cupbutter
  12. 2 cuphalf and half
  13. 1 tspsalt
  14. 1/4 tspblack pepper

  1. 1

    Put tomatoes, celery, carrots, onions, chicken broth, oregano, basil and bay eaf in slow cooker.

  2. 2

    Cover and cook on low for 5 - 7 hours.

  3. 3

    30 minutes before serving prepare a roux. Melt butter over low heat in a skillet and add flour. Stir constantly with a whisk for 5 - 7 minutes. Slowly stir in 1 cup soup. Add another 3 cups hot soup and stir until smooth. Add all back into the slw cooker.

    Stir and add the parmesn cheese, warm half and half, salt and pepper.

    Add addition basil and oregano as needed.

  6. 6

    Cover and cook over low for 30 minutes.
