Ingredients

  1. 1 mediumchayote, chopped
  2. 1/4ground meat
  3. 1 mediumred tomato, chopped
  4. 1 mediumred onion, chopped
  5. 3 clovegarlic, crushed
  6. 1salt to taste
  7. 1 dashof black ground pepper
  8. 1 cupof water
  9. 2 tbspcanola oil
  10. 1cube Knorr chicken or pork (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    In a small pot and under medium heat, pour canola oil and fry garlic, onions tomatoes and ground meat. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer or until meat is cooked.

    Pour in the cup of water and let it simmer. Add the Knorr cube. Adjust seasoning or add a little water to your taste.

    Pour the chopped chayote and continue to simmer. Do not cover pot or over cook chayote.

    Serve while hot with rice or toasted french bread of any kinds.
