Ingredients

  • 2 cupself rising corn meal
  • 1/2 cupflour
  • 1egg
  • 1 mediumchopped onion
  • 1 tspbaking powder
  • 1 1/2 cupbuttermilk
  • Self rising cornmeal
  • 1 cupcormeal
  • 1 tbspbaking powder
  • 1/2 tspsalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix ingredients together.

  2. 2

    Heat oil to 350°

  3. 3

    Drop teaspoons of batter into hot oil.

  4. 4

    Fry until golden. About 8 minutes.
