Ingredients

  1. 4 1/4 cupall-purpose flour
  2. 1/4 cupgranulated sugar
  3. 1 tbspactive dry yeast or rapid rise yeast
  4. 1 1/2 tspsalt
  5. 3/4 cupCool water
  6. 2/3 cupmilk
  7. 4 tbspunsalted butter/diced into 1 test pieces
  8. 1 1/2 tspfresh lemon juice

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 180°F

    Whisk flour, sugar, yeast and salt in a large bowl.

    Mix water, milk and butter in a separate bowl and heat to 115°F. Stir making sure butter is melted.

    Mix all ingredients together including the lemon juice. Knead until smooth and should be a little sticky. Cover and let sit for 5 minutes.

    Butter a 9×13 baking pan. Drop dough on it and square it off and level it out.

    Cut as evenly as possible into 16 squares. Brush tops with water and place in the oven, then turn oven off.

    Leave rolls in unopened oven for 20 minutes. Remove then preheat oven 375°F. Place back in oven for 12 to 16 minutes. Brush top of rolls with butter and serve hot.......oh yea !!!
