Steps
- 1
First chop up onion and garlic for the sauce. In the large pot throw in onion, bay leaves, oregano, dry basil, pepper, salt and olive oil.
- 2
Add garlic just before the onion is almost clear.
- 3
When the onion is almost clear, add diced tomatos and tomato paste. This will need to simmer for 2 hours at least (The longer you simmer the better it will taste!!) Add salt and pepper as needed. I like to add some cayenne pepper in mine for spice.

Time for meatballs! First chop up your onion and garlic then combine all ingredients in a larger bowl. i do not put exact measurements for the seasons because I eyeball. You do not need a whole lot of Parmasian though.
- 5
You want to add the meatballs to the sauce the last half hour it is simmering. So while waiting you have time to roll your meatballs. Fry on frying pan til all the sides are brown. They do not need to be cooked completely as they will cook more in the sauce.
