
green beans with almonds

boil water. snap stems off beans, strain under cool water

skillet on stove on medium, pou and heat oil (1-2 min). add almonds, stir and cook until golden brown (2-3 mins). remove from heat

add 1 T of salt to the boiling water, then add beans and cook until just tender (4-5 min), then drain in strainer (skin this step if using frozen)

add drained beans to the skillet with the almonds and season with pepper, and remaining salt, return to mediuum heat and toss with tongs until heated through (1-2 min)
