This recipe is very easy. It's a perfect blend of sweet and salty.I've known how to make this for years, but I just introduced this recipe to my family last night. My children loved it! My husband who isn't even big on pork pretty much cleaned his plate and had a second helping!

Ingredients

1 hour
  1. 1-2 trays of Pork Blade Steaks(This type of pork works best with this recipe b/c of the thin cut. You can use regular porkchops as well, but adjust your frying time by adding 1-2 mins.)
  2. 1 eachAll purpose seasoning, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder
  3. 1 tspminced garlic(optional)
  4. 1 largeOnion(Sliced)
  5. 1 largeGreen Pepper(sliced)
  6. 1/2 largebottle of ketchup
  7. 1 cupwater
  8. 2 pinchof brown sugar(you will season to your personal taste)
  9. 1Flour for coating before pan frying( I find it easier to use preseasoned flour such as chicken breader, and go light on my own seasonings)
  10. 1Oil(just enough to coat the bottom of your frying pan)

Steps

1 hour

  2. 2

Heat the oil in your skillet to prepare for frying.

  3. 3

  4. 4

Dredge(coat) your porkchops on both sides with the flour.

  5. 5

Fry your chops in the skillet for approximately 3 minutes on both sides and place each piece in a deep baking pan. It is okay to overlap.

  6. 6

**SIDENOTE**Your meat will NOT be cooked all the way through at this point. That is because it will be transferred into the oven.

  7. 7

After you are done frying your chops. Take a sauce pot and add the ketchup, cup of water, the pinch of brown sugar, the onions, green peppers and the minced garlic. Using medium heat, heat sauce until just starting to boil stirring frequently.
