Combine apples, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg, almond, 1/4 cup brown sugar, cranberry juice, cranberries & water in med. saucepan over medium heat & cook until fruit is soft; not mushy. About 10 minutes.

Remove from heat & transfer to 9" pie dish.

Place bread in food processor & pulse to form course crumbs.

Combine bread crumbs, nuts, oats, butter & remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in small bowl. Work with fingers to blend. Sprinkle over apples. & bake uncovered for 20 - 25 minutes until lightly browned.
