Hyderabadi restaurant style chicken 65 is different from the other versions in which the fried chicken pieces are sauteed in spicy yoghurt mix. This makes all the difference and the chicken gets evenly coated with the spices. It's a famous appetizer loved by many across the country and therefore tops the party menu. Lip smacking, juicy, succulent pieces of chicken just melts in your mouth. There is no need to add any artificial colour to it as it looks gorgeous with the natural colour it gets from the spice blend.

Enjoy Cooking with Zeen!

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients listed under it. Leave it on the kitchen counter for at least 40 minutes.

  2. 2

Meanwhile keep all the other ingredients listed ready.

  3. 3

Deep fry the chicken in hot oil on medium to high flame until done. Drain and keep aside.

  4. 4

In a pan, take about 2 tablespoons of the oil in which the chicken was fried earlier.

  5. 5

Add the crushed fennel seeds. Add the sliced garlic and the slit green chillies.

  6. 6

Add the curry leaves and the coriander now. Keep the flame low and add the beaten yoghurt.

  7. 7

The flame should be always low when the yoghurt is added so that it does not curdle.

  8. 8

After nearly 4 minutes of sauteeing the yoghurt, add the fried chicken.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
