  1. 6 cupflour
  2. 2 tspsalt
  3. 2 tbspmargarine
  4. 3 tbsponion powder
  5. 2 tspadobo
  6. 1 packagesbeef broth
  7. 2 lbground beef
  8. 12 slicepitted Spanish olives
  9. 1/2 cantomato sauce
  10. 1 cupcilantro chopped
  11. 1 1/2 cupwater
  12. 1 largeonion diced
  13. 1 largepotato small cubed
  14. 4 cupoil

  1. 1

    mix flour salt, margarine with water until it forms into a ball that pulls away from the bowl easy add more flour or water to compensate for desired texture. set aside.

    In a pan add two tbls oil and ground beef.

  3. 3

    add beef broth and onion powder as well as adobo to ground beef.

  4. 4

    add onion and potato and olives.

  5. 5

    add tomato sauce and cook till potatoes are tender.

  6. 6

    turn off heat add cilantro allow to cool before next step

  7. 7

    remove dough form a ball cut in half then cut halves into quarters making eight pieces.

  8. 8

    roll each piece out with a pin place a good amount of beef mixture in center fold over to a half moon shape seal with a little water trim edges. with a fork go around edge pressing down to crimp closed.

  9. 9

    repeat for remaining empanadas.

  10. 10

    fry each until golden on each side.

  11. 11

    enjoy.

I enjoy cooking and usually favorites that have been handed down. My mother was a fantastic cook always had the neighbors with there noses in the air,in a good way. Hope you enjoy some of my easy but delicious recipes.
