Super Simple Omurice Guaranteed to Have Kids Asking for More
Breakfast for the kids today, super easy and the kids were so happy when they woke up and saw a dish they love. Special thanks to friends at #SenyuminAja01
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Dice the onion and thinly slice the cooked chicken or sausage. Heat margarine in a pan, then sauté the onion until fragrant. Add the meat, soy sauce, salt, and pepper, and sauté briefly.
- 2
Add warm rice, pour in the ketchup, and stir until the seasoning is evenly distributed. Remove from heat and set aside. This ketchup rice is enough for breakfast for 3 kids.
- 3
Beat 3 eggs with mayonnaise and salt. Heat a pan with vegetable oil. I use a small 8-inch pan, which is enough for 1 egg. Pour 1/3 of the beaten eggs (equivalent to 1 egg) and cook on low heat for about 1 minute. Repeat 3 times to make 3 omelet sheets.
- 4
Place plastic wrap on a plate, place an omelet sheet on top, then add the ketchup rice.
- 5
Fold the omurice from the bottom and top, then twist the plastic wrap on the right and left sides.
- 6
Flip the omurice, slowly open the plastic wrap. Drizzle ketchup on top of the omurice. Serve warm.

I feel so happy when I have delicious food. The memory of those flavors lingers on afterwards. Recently, I've been thinking that it's so wonderful to be able to share the same memories with people important to you through cooking. It may look like there are many steps in this omelette recipe, but it's actually a simple way to recreate the "fluffy and creamy" texture of restaurant omelette without fail. Please adjust the cooking times in Steps 1 and 4 to taste! It's best to stop cooking the omelette when it's softer-set than you think it ought to be. For 2 large servings!. Recipe by Masa yon cookpad.japan -
Scrambled Eggs for Omurice Scrambled Eggs for Omurice
I came up with this recipe for people like me, who can never manage to roll the rice up neatly in the omelette when making omurice. There's no need to melt the butter before using. When you don't have milk, just substitute with mayonnaise. If you melt the butter in the pan before cooking, it's more likely that your eggs will burn. While you can make this using margarine and mayonnaise (as indicated in the ingredients list), they can't hold a candle to butter and milk.Make sure to use salt and pepper.Season with course ground black pepper for a sophisticated taste. Easy Omurice - Fluffy Filling Wrapped in Egg Easy Omurice - Fluffy Filling Wrapped in Egg
While creamy omurice is good, my husband prefers the original omrice, so I experimented and settled on this recipe. It is so easy. You can add green pepper and carrot to the filling to make the dish more nutritious. It is great for kids.In Step 5, make sure to only cook the egg until it is half-cooked. If you cook the egg for too long, it will not fold well around the filling. It is best for the underside to be browned, and the top side to be half-cooked. If you cook it well, it will be OK. For Omurice ~ Chicken Rice For Omurice ~ Chicken Rice
Stir-fried ketchup rice is high in calories, so I always make it in the rice cooker. My son likes strong flavors, so I always add a little ketchup to the rice when it's done. I sometimes make omurice, but my son prefers the egg mixed in.This time I used ham, but if you are using chicken, slice it into small pieces, season it with salt and pepper, and cook it with the rice in the rice cooker. Green pepper browns when cooked, so I stir-fry half the amount and add it at the end for a nice, colorful finish. Of course, you can just cook it all in the rice cooker if you want!
