Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cupwhite matar
  2. 1/2 cupchana dal
  3. 1/2 cupblack chickpeas
  4. to tasteSalt
  5. 1 1/2 tsprock salt
  6. 1 tspred chilli powder
  7. 1 tsproasted jeera powder
  8. 1/4 tspdry mango powder
  9. 1/2 tspground pepper
  10. 4 tbsptamarind chutney
  11. 2onions chopped
  12. 2tomatoes chopped
  13. 2 tbsplemon juice
  14. Coriander leaves for garnishing
  15. 2green chilli chopped
  16. 2-3Green chilli (split)for garnishing
  17. 1/2 tspchaat masala
  18. 2 cupswater for soaking
  19. For jaljeera chutney:
  20. 1 cupmint leaves chopped
  21. Small piece tamarind,
  22. 1/2 tsppepper
  23. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  24. 1 tsp fennel(saunf)
  25. 1/2 tsp1/2 tsp dry mango powder
  26. 1/4 tsp salt
  27. 1/2 tspchaat masala
  28. 2 tbspwater

Steps

  1. 1

    Jaljeera chutney: blend to smooth paste adding 2 tbsp water or more.

    Take the white matar chana dal,black chickpeas in a bowl.

    Soak it for 5-6 hours and pressure cook it for up to 4-5 whistles and take the boiled chana in a bowl.

    Add salt to taste.
    Add red chilli powder.
    Add jeera powder and amchur powder.

  5. 5

    Then, add a pinch of ground pepper and add rock salt.

  6. 6

    Add 4 tablespoons of the tamarind chutney.

  7. 7

    Now add in prepared jaljeera chutney and mix well.

  8. 8

    Then, add the chopped onions and tomatoes and green chilli.

  9. 9

    Add lemon juice and add chaat masala
    Mix thoroughly.

  10. 10

    Garnish it with coriander leaves and split green chilli and onions ring.

  11. 11

    Serve it with hot kulchas.

    Tip :You can add tamarind chutney on top as a garnish.
    The kulcha chole can be eaten as such as a chole chaat.
