Ingredients

  1. 6 tbspButter unsalted
  2. 2 tbspGarlic minced
  3. 2 tbspShallot minced
  4. 3 cupHeavy whipping cream
  5. 3 cupStrong beef stock
  6. 1 cupWhiskey
  7. 1/2 cupRoux
  8. 2 tbspBouquet
  9. 1/2 cup2% milk

Steps

  1. 1

    Sauté 2 Tblsp butter, garlic and shallots to yummy

  2. 2

    Deglaze with 1/2 cup whiskey

  3. 3

    Add heavy whipping cream, strong beef base, 1/2 cup whiskey

  4. 4

    Add 3 Tblsp butter

  5. 5

    Bring to boil

  6. 6

    Add 1/2 cup roux and stir continuously till thickens

  7. 7

    Add bouquet

  8. 8

    S & p to taste

  9. 9

    Add 2% milk if too thick
