This has been my all time favorite snack when I don't have any other option for breakfast because it's quick and easy to prepare

Recipe. Mix flour, salt and sugar, add egg and gradually beat in enough milk to make a thick batter. Great your lemon to get the zest and mix in the batter. Cook 2 or 3 at a time by dropping spoonfuls of the mixture on a moderately hot, well-greased griddle. Cook until the underside is golden brown and the top is covered with bubbles, about 3 minutes. Garnish the drop scones with the remaining zest to enhance the colour.
