  1. 6Ripe Haas avocados
  2. 6 cloveGarlic
  3. 1 tbspKosher salt
  4. 1Onion, chopped
  5. 3Plum tomatoes, seeded and diced
  6. 1 bunchCilantro, leaves only, shredded
  7. 1Jalapeño, seeded and diced
  8. 3Limes, juice and zest

  1. 1

    Pound garlic and salt into paste with pestel in mortar.

  2. 2

    Add lime juice and zest, onions, tomatoes, cilantro and jalapenos.

  3. 3

    Add avocados one at a time, mashing with pestel and mixing with other ingredients.

  4. 4

    Place an avocado pit or two into mixture and cover surface with wax paper to prevent browning until ready to serve.
