Kettle corn
Easy kettle corn at home! Save a bunch of money making it yourself. This is my wife's favorite kettle corn. Also if you use brown sugar instead of granulated it makes caramel corn. (Heads up this makes a very sticky pan so clean up isnt the most fun. Helps to soak the pot first)

Steps
- 1
Heat oil in large pot, add 3 kernels. When all 3 pop the oil is hot enough.
- 2
Remove the popped kernels carefully with tongs
- 3
Add the kernels, sugar and salt all at the same time. Cover worth a lid and shake in a circular motion directly above the flame immediately and do not stop moving until done or it will burn. Wearing oven mitts here is strongly recommended.
- 4
When there is about 2-3 seconds between pops remove from heat. There may still be some unpopped kernels but don't try to pop them because you will burn the rest. Scoop into a large bowl.
- 5
The sugar will harden as it cools and make it into a big ball, so you will need to break it up into pieces. If you have a container wroth a lid to shake it, it makes it easier.
