Ingredients

About 2 cups (about 500 ml)
  1. 4-6tomatillos
  2. 1/4white onion
  3. 1large handful dried chile de árbol peppers (we recommend more than 20)
  4. 2 clovesgarlic
  5. 1 tablespoonchicken bouillon powder (like Knorr) or 1 tablespoon salt
  6. 2 cupswater (about 475 ml)

Steps

  1. 1

    Place the water, tomatillos, chiles, onion, and garlic together in a pot over high heat. The water should just cover the ingredients.

    Cover and cook for 20 minutes. The tomatillos are ready when they turn a dull green and the chiles have softened.

    Stir the ingredients every 7-10 minutes so all the vegetables cook evenly.

  4. 4

    Let the pot cool for 10 minutes before blending to create a milder flavor.

  5. 5

    Add the cooked ingredients and the chicken bouillon powder or salt to a blender.

    Blend until smooth and enjoy with your tacos.
