  • 1/2 mediumOnion
  • 1 tbspMelted butter
  • 1/4 cupMelted butter
  • 1/4 cupflour
  • 2 cuphalf and half
  • 2 cupchicken stock
  • 1 cupcarrots
  • 1/4 tspnutmeg
  • 8 ozsharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 lbBroccoli

Steps

  1. 1

    Saute onion in butter. Set aside

  2. 2

    Cook melted butter and flour using a whisk over medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Stir constantly and add the half and half

  3. 3

    Add the broccoli, carrots and onions. Cook over low heat for 20 minutes

  4. 4

    Add salt and pepper, cheese and nutmeg
