Strip Steak Bites
I had no clue what to cook, other than I took Strip Steaks out to thaw. Every day I try to come up with something new to make. Still, on the way home from work, I had no clue. I was thinking, pound the steaks, and make cheesesteaks, but, no good rolls in the house. I was too tired from work to even stop at the store.
I got home, cracked open a beer and finished thawing the strips in the microwave.
I decided to try something adventurous. I got a bowl and added a bunch of spices that I thought would go good with steak.
I took out my meat pounder, put the steaks between two pieces of Saran wrap and pounded the heck out of 'em.
I cut 3" slices of the strips and placed them in a bowl. I dumped the spice mixture (see recipe for ingredients), added 1 tsp EVOO, and 1/2 tsp Balsamic Vinegar, and 2 tbls of milk. I mixed it well and let it sit 1 hour...tossing every so often.
I got a few potatoes, peeled them, cut into 2" squares. Used Lipton soup mix with garden vegetables and added EVOO to toss, then sprinkled Parmesan.
For the veggie I used fresh Brussel Spouts (use any veggie you want), I marinated in Newman French dressing with Smokey flavor...mmmmm. I sprinkled balsamic, cuz, I love balsamic.
I roasted the brussel spouts in the oven for 1/2 hour on 375°F. I placed the potatoes in oven at the same time. After a half hour, I cut the brussel sprouts in half and placed them back into the oven. I also turned the potatoes over. to be con't
