Easter Chocolate Mousse Cake
I saw this recipe on a cooking show, but since I didn't have all the ingredients and wanted to make it a bit lighter, here's my version. It was devoured in one sitting.
Steps
- 1
Melt the chocolate with the butter in a double boiler. Let it cool.
- 2
Whip the cream with the powdered sugar, adding the sugar in three parts. Once the cream is whipped, gradually add the cooled chocolate while continuing to beat.
- 3
Pour the mixture into a Charlotte mold and freeze for at least 12 hours.
- 4
Run the mold under hot water to unmold the cake onto a serving plate. Decorate with cookies, chocolate shavings, and Easter eggs. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
