Cooking Instructions

First wash the dal.

Soak in water for 15 mins.

Meanwhile cut and wash purslane leaves.

Chop raw mangoes, Discard the seed part.

In a Pressure Cooker,add soaked dal.

Then add 1/4cup water as veggies will also loose its water.

Add tomatoes.

Add turmeric.

Add Green chillies.

Add Purslane leaves.

At last add raw mangoes.

Don't mix,Just seal off the lid.

At high flame cook till one whistle comes.

Then lower the flame and let it cook till 3 more whistles.

Switch off flames,Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Now after 10 minutes, take out lid n mash it masher or blend with blender.

Add salt,some water for flowing consistency.

Add curry leaves and cook till boil comes.

For tempering

Take a pan,add oil,heat it.Then add garlic, cumin,red chillies. Fry till golden and pour it over dal.

Mouthwatering Hyderabadi Kulfa Kairi Dal is ready to serve with boiled rice or chapati.
