Sweet, hot and sour veg Chow Chow

Take a wok and heat a tablespoon of olive or refined oil on a medium to high flame. Add slit green chillies, fry for one minute and take them out. In this chilli oil add potatoes, carrots, cabbage, chopped garlic and onion and stir fry with little salt. Add a tablespoon of vinegar. This helps to soften the vegetables.

Add 2 cups of water in it. When the water starts boiling, add the chow cakes. Stir the chow to cook properly for at least 2-3 minutes on a high flame.

Add 2 teaspoons of soya sauce and black pepper powder. When the chow is soft and the water has almost evaporated add bell pepper and tomato pieces. Wait for one minute and put off the flame.

Serve hot with tomato and chilli sauce.
