Ingredients

  • 9 ozpotatoes (about 250 grams)
  • 2–3 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro
  • 1–2 finely chopped green chilies
  • 1 teaspoonginger paste
  • 2 tablespoonstomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoonsoy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoonchili sauce
  • 1 tablespoonwhite sesame seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoonsugar
  • 1onion
  • 1bell pepper
  • 1 tablespooncornstarch

Steps

    Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into long, thin strips.

  2. 2

    Toss the potato strips with cornstarch so they are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Heat a separate pan and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Once the oil is hot, add the ginger and green chilies and sauté briefly.

  4. 4

    On very low heat, mix in the chili sauce, tomato sauce, and soy sauce.

  5. 5

    Dissolve 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in 1 cup of water, then add this mixture to the sautéed spices and sauces. Stir to combine.

  6. 6

    Add salt and sugar, and cook for 2 minutes. Add the fried potatoes, chili, and vinegar, and mix well while cooking. Stir in half of the chopped cilantro.

  7. 7

    Chili Potato is ready! Serve hot and enjoy this delicious dish.
