Cut the parwal into half or whole after cutting both ends and partially peeling the skin.Boil or steam parwal for 5 min till semi soft.

Make a paste of curd,sesame seeds and green chillies.Pour oil in a pan.Fry the parwal lightly and set aside.

Add half crushed whole garam masala to the remaining oil and when it splutters, add the masala paste.Also add the ginger paste and aloo dum masala.Fry for sometime and add the boiled parwals.

Add salt and sugar to taste.Add water and boil till masala coats the parwals. Add coconut paste or milk.Sprinkle garam masala and raisins and serve with rice, roti or paratha.
