Steps

Clean the rice and soak in water for 30 mins.Then drain water and keep ready.

Heat butter in a thick bottom pan,add in chopped onion,garlic and green chilly. Saute till onion becomes translucent.

Then add pepper powder, water and salt. Mix well and cover it to boil.

When the water starts to boils add the drained rice to it.Cover and cook in low flame.

In about 15-20 mins your rice will be almost ready. Use a fork to fluff up.

Heat butter in a tadka pan roast cashew and raisins in it, then add it to the cooked rice.
